Most electrical and electronic devices are required to be compliant with regulatory arrangements for electromagnetic compatibility specified by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA).
Luminaries are no exception, and all lighting equipment sold in Australia must comply with applicable standards. Manufacturers of electrical products must submit their products for relevant testing to ensure that they meet ACMA’s EMC standards. In addition compliance documents are to be maintained and a declaration of conformity must be signed by the supplier which asserts that the device in question meets the applicable standard. Read more
